Windmore "Pen-to-Paper" Writers

Many folks want to write, but do not know how to go about it.

We are a growing group of interested writers in the Culpeper area who meet once a month and discuss many aspects of writing: publishing, sharing genres, performing 'readings' for the public, encouragement of young children to write, the use of art, music, and drama as stimulants for our creativity, using various writing exercises with critiquing, and much more.

Boasting of new folks just wanting to get experience and information, moms and dads needing time out during the day, published authors, home-schooled children, and retirees, we can attest to the fact that we are growing in leaps and bounds for those who want to connect through the written word.
Whether one uses pencil, pen, or computer, we continue to bond in our need to write. It's the passion that keeps us together on a common path.
Please join with us the first Tuesday of every month at The Depot, in Culpeper, 10 am until 12 noon.

Anthologies: In 1992, The Windmore Writers' Anthology was published. It was included in the gift package to then President-elect William Clinton and Vice President-elect Al Gore, when they visitied the Culpeper area and attended church here prior to the inauguration. Copies of the publication have been distributed from Virginia, Mississippi, and California, as well as sent to Eastern Europe, where it was translated into Polish. In 1996, another anthology was published titled "Touching The Heart." This is a collection of short stories, poetry, essays, and fantasy.
