The Piedmont Community Band is a concert band consisting of wind, brass, and percussion instruments. The band welcomes players from middle school into adulthood and all ranges of ability. With a focus on musical growth, more experienced musicians provide guidance and encouragement for younger or less-experienced players as the band works together to provide music to the community.

Piedmont Community Band presents several concerts a year and participates in many community events. The band welcomes invitations to appear at events.

In addition to providing performances, the band also participates in community events encouraging musical education and involvement. The band has provided activities at Windmore’s Fine Arts Summer Camp and at PACT.  They are always happy to learn of other opportunities to help encourage musical growth and awareness.

If you play a band instrument, if you used to play a band instrument, or if you’re interested in learning a band instrument, the band invites you to join them for rehearsals on Sundays from 6:30-8:30 at Culpeper Baptist Church. Contact the band at [email protected] to learn more.

Band Membership Registration Forms 2021-2022

There are three forms. Choose the one that applies to you.

Individual Membership – For persons above the age of 18 who are joining individually

Family Membership – For persons whose family members will also be performing in the band You may enter up 4 additional family members on this form.

Youth Membership – for persons under the age of 18 who are joining individually. Form to be completed by a Parent/Guardian

Existing members in good standing: If you are already a member of Windmore Foundation for the Arts, band membership is already included in your Windmore membership. Please still fill out the appropriate form. Also, once a member of the band, you have benefits toward other Windmore programs and will not be charged an additional membership fee.
