stageworks community theatre group

Windmore’s StageWorks program is a community theatre group that provides experiences on the stage and behind the scenes for adults, teens, and children. Our theatrical and musical productions offered opportunities to perform, work backstage, design and construct sets, make costumes, applying make-up, and working with lights and sound equipment. The group produces theatrical performances, offers educational classes, and networks with local ensembles.

The Artistic Director for StageWorks is Jessica Mahr. Jessy has a Master’s degree in Arts Management and a Bachelor’s degree in technical theater.  She was a founding board member of StageWorks when it was started in 2009.  She has worked as a theatre teacher at the Madeira School and stage-managed professionally at a number of theatres in the DC area.  She has over 20 years of experience in theatre production.
